My husband is a coal miner and understandably he has some back problems, he is 35 years old. But on June 5th 2010 he was in a vehicle accident. A woman ran a red light and hit him. He did go to the hospital by ambulance. Therehe found out he has 3 herniated discs and 2 bulging discs.. They have been talking about surgery, the area was at the base of his neck and upper back. He has been going to therapy 3 to 4 days a week. He was in a lot of pain. So, the doctor recommended that he do some decompressing and until we our lawyer finishes handling our case we were gonna have to cover what our insurance doesn't and that bill would of been over 4,000 dollars..So, we seen a commercial on the Teeter Hangup and it was WAY, WAY, WAY less than the 4,000 dollars. I am happy to say that since he started using this product he is in way less pain, and with the help of his doctor, he may not have to have the surgery!!!!! I am a night-time back pain sufferer, as well as any type physical work pain sufferer. The assembly instructions could be a bit more detailed- obvious things such as height setting up weren't so obvious. I did not buy any of the add ons

Since the device is necessarily hefty, you need to add wheels that can fold up from the A-frame base that will allow an average size person to move the device without damaging self or home. I cut open a shin and bruised a knuckle trying to move the device a short distance because its weight makes it hard to control. Other than that, I love this inversion table already and have only progressed to about 60 degrees down. The stretch is immediate. The first impression I had when I got off the machine was that I felt taller. Great stuff. I have already ordered cuffs for greater comfort when I work up to full inversion.

I have had my EP550 for only a week now. Therefore, I have only used it twice a day; sometimes for only 5 minutes, sometimes for 30 minutes. It has already helped my back, not completely, but I can see if I use this inversion table regularly it will be a good thing. I am still experimenting with twisting while inverted and various exercises (stationary cruches and rythmic crunchs) that feel good to me. It seems solid and I fell safe in any position. A friend of mine has already ordered one after seeing and trying mine. And she is a physical therapist!

The inversion table has been very good therapy for my back. I ususally have chronic back problems after working out in the yard on weekends. I now use the inversion table 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after and I no longer experience the pain.

I purchased the Teeter around Mothers day because I saw the AD on the internet for the table and all these additional pieces that I was led to believe would not be available if it wasn't a Mothers Day sale. But when it arrived I did not receive the leg attachment and bar or the additional exercise DVDs. I may not have read every little bit of copy in the ad, but the photo showed all these additional pieces for the [$] price. Very misleading and consumers do not like to be mislead. I do love the table and would recommend it to anyone with back issues, it's fabulous, BUT I would caution them that they will not get everything promised in the ad.

We just received our inversion table & were quite surprised at how sturdy it is. When we ordered it, this was one of our concerns. I am finding it a bit awkward to adjust as I am 5'2 & my husband is 6'2, but I think this will get easier as I use it more. We both used it last night & could feel it as soon as we got off. Really elongates your muscles & gives a good stretch. Also felt it in the abs- good workout if that's what you are after! So far, it appears as if this is going to be a great addition to our home gym.

doctor recomended inversion table for vestibular disorder (inner ear problem). it has helped a great deal. i have a torn rotator cuff in one shoulder and the table is letting me stretch that shoulder. i have mess in place from hernia sergery and the table has helped stretch that area.

I am facing back surgery and decided to try your table out first. In three days the nerve pain going down my leg due to a compressed L-4 disc, has been extremely reduced. I am sure after several weeks, the surgery option will not be concidered. I should have purchased this item alot sooner. Your table was recommeded by my cousin who flies f-15 fighters and has back problems and didn't want to tell the flight surgeon about his problem fearing he would loose his flight status. He has been free of back pain for 3 years now. This product should be implemented in all physical therapy organizations and would probably help out all types of back related problems.

I have had chronic neck and back pain for a few years. Physical therapy and exercise has helped but the inversion table give me relief from every day gravity... even if only for a few minutes. It makes a big difference and give my neck and back much needed relief! It was relatively easy to assemble but it is bulky.. you need some space for it. It is also heavy... not easy to move about but on the flip side it is sturdy. I feel very secure on it.

This table waas recommended to me by a friend and my doctor. I have spinal stenosis and have pain that goes down my legs. This chair/table with just a few minutes a day, decompresses my spine and aleviates some of the pain. It does take up some room so we put it in a corner of the family room. When I get home from work I will use it for 15 to 30 minutes. I will also use it for about an hour before bed. I had the inversion boots before I got this and they make using the table easier. I got the massage pad that goes with it and it is wonderful. One thing I would suggest is getting a piece of foam to go under it makes it a lot better. I try to get my friends to use it and they have not done it yet. I would recomend this to any one who has back and neck problems.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the table was to put together. It's very simple and sturdy, and only took about 30 minutes. Years ago I wore out a pair of regular gravity boots and haven't done any inversion for about 6 years. It's a much more secure feeling being on the table. I expected I'd want to release the tether so I could go completely vertical, but it feels just fine with the tether on it's longest setting. I've had a herniated disc for about 30+ years, and the inversion helps the pain/stiffness a lot. Glad I bought it.

I use this after I get up in the morning for 10 minutes. This helps get the "kinks" or stiffness out of my entire body. It helps get the blood flow to my head so I feel more alert yet relaxed and more eager to face the day.
I also will use it from time to time when I get home from work. I have arthritis in some of my cervical disks and this natural traction is a great relief.
And I usually use it before going to bed for a relaxing stretch.

Was easy to assemble, I use it for low back pain and pain in the sacro-iliac area as well as below the shoulder blade. My entire body gets a good stretching. It does hurt my feet a little if I use for too long, but I have arthritis in the feet.

Bought it to alleviate buldged disc in lower back which has been hurting for a month. Had problem before but always eased up after a few days, however, this time it did not. Its been several hours now after one time on table and still no discomfort from the disc yet. So far so good.
Unfair to comment on delivery since a foot of snow and no removal in Ar. They were a few days late but not their fault. I couldn't get out of my own drive.

I personally use a pillow under my back though my daughter and granddaughter find it most comfortable as is. I use it twice a day for 15 minutes at a time and find it most relaxing. I bought this for my husband who has a chronic back problem for Christmas. He just started using it so I can't really say if it really works yet on relieving the pain on his back. User friendly My son was able to assemble this product in no time. However, adjustment is not that smooth. It doesn't just slide out like some of the good gym equipments I have used. I had to take the knob completely and then pull the stopper. Anyway, not a huge disadvantage though. All in all this product is a good buy. However, after I ordered this product online, I saw something similar at [...] for a $100 less. It looked as big and as sturdy but I'm not sure if it's as good!

I was getting very stiff and bending over was the hardest thing I did all day. It seemed to me that releasing the pressure on the back and streching the muscels of the back might relieve some of the inflamation.
My back cracked and poped several times during the first few uses and the 24/7 pain was gone. It allowed the back to realign itself and the constant pain is gone. I still have a particular spot in the lower back which causes pain in the back and down the leg on occasion when walking or moving about, but it seems that with every use of the machine this too is being reduced.
What was of surpize to me was that it has also been effective in gaining mobility in my neck. My neck was getting very stiff and in rotating my head from side to side my neck would grind and pop. Use of this machine has regained mobility in my neck without the grinding.
I use the machine nearly every day for 10-15 minutes. I am amazed that so little time could produce such good results.

This is very comfortable to use. It can hurt the ankles, but that's to be expected I think. Using shoes or inverting to a lesser extent makes it better. My husband loves to do full inversion, hanging by his ankles (with high top shoes on), so that is a possibility for some people. He's used it more so far, and after a few days already feels less lower back and shoulder pain.

This is a very well built, sturdy product! They did not skimp on quality materials. It is well balanced. After a few minutes of inversion the front ankle supports start to become a little uncomfortable because they are supporting a majority of your weight, but the boots were too expensive for my taste.

I have suffered from chronic back pain for years. I have degenerated and slightly herniated L3/L4 and L4/L5 discs in my low back. I saw the advertisement and thought it was to good to be true. It's a safe inexpensive way to keep my back in line. I take one on the road with me and have completely rid myself of the need to find "emergency Chiropractors" who were rarely successful at getting my lower back in position. This thing does it every time. I invert for a few minutes and come back, and repeat. Depending on how great the spasm is in my back things will "clunk" into place between the second and fifth inversion. At that point I hang pain free and just enjoy it. I love this device.

I have used the table for about two weeks now. I use it for about 15 minutes each day. It is most definitly reducing the pain in my lower back. I use this every day! Started out with short times of about 2 minutes until you get used to being inverted. After being on the inverter for a few minutes, it definitely does help with pain and alignment. The stretching is very relaxing too. I also have hip problems, and it helps to realign my hips and relieves pain. I really do like this machine, and feel it's very beneficial. Storage is a challenge, only due to the bulk of the item, but it's build well, and is very sturdy.

I like the product. It works as advertised. It is easy to use by every member of the family. I have a little bit of lower back pain, probably from poor posture while sitting. The table relieves my back pain instantly! It is well worth its very reasonable purchase price! I highly recommend it.
Talk about EXCEEDING expectations! I ordered my Teeter Hang Up via the telephone after shopping for it online. The sales representative was great. She answered all of my questions and even talked me out of buying a more expensive uint based on my requirements. She also convinced me that I did not need any optional items, suggesting instead that I use the inversion table for a while to better determine what options I might need.
Once my order was taken via the telephone, I began to receive status emails within an hour or so. I was given an expected ship date which turned out to be the next business day (I ordered my table around 8 pm EST). I received status updates throughout the entire process (ordering, prep for shipping, and shipping) which included an expected delivery date.

I had hurt my lower back at work and couldn't seem to get anyone to realign me. In using the EP550 within 3 uses I had stretched enough that my back realigned and my pain was eased.
The only thing I would reccomend is purchasing the boots with it. I have very small ankles and it hurts to stay inverted for too long. On the other hand it does NOT hurt my son who has thicker ankles.

This is my second Teeter. I loved my first one, but I keep it on an outside porch, and the weather eventually got to the fabric back. I replaced it once, but it eventually degraded too, along with rust on the metal parts. When I saw the flexible plastic back on this one, I bought it instead of another fabric cover. I really like the feel of it, and it should also stand up to the weather much better. I have chronic back pain from both degenerated disks and prior injuries, and using the Teeter daily helps immensely.

The table works great for lower back extending. It does not work so much for the upper back and shoulders though. This is where the stress and tension build. When using the table, I would recommend keeping the strap connected. Going past the strap setting will increase the blood rush and pressure on your ankles. For regular stretching, I would highly recommend. If you are looking for something for the upper shoulder area, you might want to keep looking.

I bought the [$] version, and it works great. I thought about buying a more expensive version, but after getting this one, found there was no need to spend more money. Very well engineered, and extremely simple to use. The only issue, is the point at which your ankles are held, does get a bit uncomfortable if you hang for more than 4 or 5 minutes. I wish it would fold up even smaller than it does, but if that were possible it would probably reduce the quality of the engineering. The instructional DVD was really thorough and a must watch. And unlike other instructional DVDs, it was relatively quick and easy to watch. Assembly was a breeze too.

Overall this is a great product. The only problem I have had is that it is very uncomfortable on my feet when inverted. I am 6'3 and weigh about 250 so I know that is a lot of pressure on the feet. I have had to improvise by adding a little more padding. But this is a great product and was shipped very quickly.

I suffer from chronic bvack and leg pain. I use the product to take strain and pressure off my spine. After each use of the table (twice daily) I get enough relief to be able to walk unaided for a while. The one thing I would change is to have bigger handles to use when I come back to erect status.

I have arthritis, degentive disks. Swimming was always the best excercise for me until I purchased the inversion table. I asked my doctor about the table, he said "some people swear by it and others do not". Those who don't, I will bet don't use it faithfully. My abs are even tightening, which is a bonus.

I was born with a lower back defect, spondylolisthesis @ the L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels, and bilateral pars interarticularis. Big words, but basically, my lowest lumbar vertebra is pushed forward significantly, about 1/3 of it's front to back dimensions.
I played sports all through my school years, and experienced pain and muscle spasms frequently. I always said, "I've got my mother's bad back". But, not until I was 25 years old did I ever get imaging to diagnose the problem. The surgeons wanted to operate and fuse the lower vertebrae, but I chose to go with the neurologist's suggestion. "Treat it conservatively and see how you do." Give up things that aggravate the condition (bowling, golf...BOOOO!!...raking, weed eating...YEAH!!!!) and take medication only when there is a flair up of the sciatica and muscle spasms.
That was 27 years ago. I've still avoided surgery (fingers crossed) and I did use a chiropractor and an inversion bench (don't remember the brand) way back then. However, the bench was not nearly as comfortable or user friendly as the ones made today, and it eventually wore out. Plus, I've since moved and haven't visited a chiropractor in over ten years.
Recently, I had the worst flair up I'd had in 20 years. I was experiencing pain down my left leg, and was having muscle spasms in my upper and lower back for 5 1/2 weeks, continuosly.
I went online and picked out a new inversion table, the Teeter EP 550 Inversion Table. I was a little concerned that I had waited too long to do something, because the symptoms were not improving at ALL. Usually, they'd go away after 2-3 weeks if I took it really easy. But, not this time. Standing and sitting both caused a lot of discomfort. And I have a one hour commute to work, which was agonizing at times.
When my new Inversion Table arrived in the mail, I couldn't wait to try it. (I was due to leave for band practice in just over an hour. A 90 minute drive each way, plus two hours of sitting while I played music. And my back was already killing me.) When I opened the package, I was delighted to see the "How to" video on asssembly. Reading instructions is not one of my strong points, nor is construction. I was amazed that in 20 minutes, I had the Table up and ready to go. I mean, AMAZED!
But, that was the second most amazing thing that happened that day. Having had an inversion bench 20 years ago, I was familiar with the sensation of inverting and it didn't take much time to acclimate myself. I inverted about 60-70 degrees for 3 minutes and then fully inverted for 7 more minutes. Ten minutes total, then I took a 5 minute break.
Nothing had "popped" like I had hoped. That wonderful sound of "realignment in progress" didn't happen right away. But, the stretching had helped the pain and made me eager to try ten more minutes, in search of that elusive "pop" (or even better, "pops").
When I went back for full inversion the second time, I immediately felt looser and even did a couple af very gentle side to side twists to stretch even further. After 3 minutes, it happened. That wonderful "POP" that I had been longing for happened. The muscles around my spine began to quiver a little as the tight spams began to release. Then, "pop", "pop", two more times at levels a little higher in my spine. My muscles were dancing, and it was a good dance. Anyone who has ever experienced tight, knotted muscles as they relax, knows what I'm talking about.
Anyway, I inverted for 8 minutes total the second time. The 3 "pops" had occurred about 3-4 minutes in, and after 4 more minutes of inverting it seemed that 3 "pops" would be all for now. Plus, I couldn't wait to get off and see how much the pain had improved.
When I brought the bench back to the starting position, I was cautiously optimistic. VERY optimistic, actually. Because, at that point, I was feeling no pain at all. NO PAIN for the first time in over 5 1/2 weeks. When I stepped down and walked across the room, I almost couldn't believe it. Still, NO PAIN!!!
I got my gear and got in the car to head to band practice. When I arrived after the long drive, I got out of the car, pain free! When I went inside, I became the biggest Teeter Hang Up pitchman you've ever SEEN. I told everybody in the band, "If you've got back and leg pain and you don't try this, you're CRAZY." After my
90 minute drive home with still no pain, I wanted to go in and KISS that Inversion Table. Eighteen minutes and pain free for the first time in nearly six weeks. The only pain I felt was the soreness in the muscles that had been tied in knots for over a month. And that was a "good sore", that was gone within 2 days.
I didn't mention, I'm a CT Technologist. I've been performing CT scans for nearly 30 years now. I actually worked with the third CT scanner ever installed in the USA when I was an 18 year old X-ray student back in 1976. I'm telling you, I've seen thousands of people who have had back surgery with conditions and symptoms less severe than mine. THOUSANDS!!! And, I've continued to scan many of them years after their surgery, with continued, and often worse, back pain.
To make a long story longer, spend three or four hundred backs before you risk tens of thousands of dollars on surgery. You may save yourself a LOT of money.
And more importantly, you may prevent a lifetime of pain.

I have been using the table for about 1 week and feel much better. I can feel my lower back and hips stretching, I even get some welcome pops which I was only ever able to get from going to a chiro, and that didn't take care of it in just one visit. I have suffered with an SI joint that goes out on occasion and is terribly painful when it does. I am starting to feel my back aligning itself, my knees, hips and upper back are also feeling better.
The only con I have is that the ankles are a little uncomfortable when I'm almost inverted. Perhaps a thicker cushion on the ankle brackets might help.
The delivery was prompt - one week after order. A bracket was broken when we received our table, I called customer service and they will be sending a new one out. We were able to use the table without the bracket.

I got this to ease varicose vein pain & prolapse. I use it 5-20 minutes a day --depending on how much time I have. It has eased the pain from varioces veins. Even using it 5-10 minutes on a busy day has made a difference to me, although using it for 20 minutes twice a day is what my book says is optimal. I only use it at a 20-30 degree angle to achieve relief.
It has also eased prolapse problems. Can't call it a cure so far, but have noticed slight improvement. Maybe over time it will make a significant difference.
Ankle grips are comfy & cushiony at that angle. I'm not sure I could take a steep angle though, but then I'm not sure if any table is going to be comfy at 90 degrees. Just too much pressure on a joint like that. But the pads are as good as I can imagine they could be. I like to hang barefoot -- more comfy for me, even though the book says not to. I feel secure barefoot at 20-30 degrees.
It is very sturdy & easy to use. It was easy to put together.
Because it is so sturdy, it weighs a lot. I can't imagine having back problems & trying to slide this heavy thing under a bed. But it does stand nicely against the wall, out of the way. It doesn't fold down as much as I'd like, it basically folds flatter & a little shorter than it is when it is set up.
The table is comfy. I was concerned that it would hurt my sensitive tailbone, but there is no discomfort at all.
It has also helped with stress, I find I go into deep relaxation after hanging about 15 minutes.
I'm happy with it & would buy it again.

My husband and I use this twice a day, before we go to the gym and when we return. I have sciatica and need the stretching. I am not able to adjust the foot hold and need my husband to do it for me as my fingers are not strong enough. That is my only complaint. I would never use it without him in the room. I just got this thing out of the box, and completely disregarding all of the warnings, as well as advice of my friends, I decided to go for 100% inversion. For 5 minutes. It actually felt great in my lumbar (problem area). When I tried to get up I realized I'd made a huge mistake. Those muscles were not ready, and now I'm limping around. Husband had been unable to sleep at night due to back pain. He has rods in his back, a floating rib. Not sure how we should use this with these conditions. It takes a bit of time to get used to hanging upsided down and the blood rush to the head. It takes a few weeks to get confortable around the ankles. The longer it is used each time and over the months, the more it seems to benefit your health. I have recommended it to friends.

We were totally delighted in the quality of this product. The materials and design are excellent, especially for the great price. It is very stable and sturdy, which imparts absolute confidence when you are about to hang upside down! The only drawback for me is that the height adjustment and ankle-lock adjustments are a little difficult to shift. All other outstanding attributes make up for the bother.

I have used the inversion table for a week to relieve the pain I have from sciatica. Although I have not had immediate results as far as being "cured", it has relieved quite a bit of pain. I have certainly gained quite a lot of flexibility and motion by using the table. I am pleased thus far and will continue to use the inversion table. The foot clamps are a little uncomfortable on the tops of my ankles but I have extremely bony and veiny feet to contend with. Most of the time I can avoid the discomfort by wearing heavy socks, shoes, and towel around my ankles.
The inversion table was delivered very quickly. I ordered it on a Sunday and it came on a Friday.

My experience has been outstanding. I initially made a mistake and did too much on the first day but with minor adjustments within 3 days was already improved dramatically and now some 4-5 weeks later am like a new person. I purchased it to rehab an injury, which it did but I have also lived with an arthritic back for 12 yrs or so and wake up with daily pain albeit not completely debiiitating but bothersome I no longer have that at all, amazing. I use the table 1 time a day, 5 minutes at 90 degrees, sometimes 2 times on weekends. I highly recommend it based on my experience. The only negative is the ankle holders are uncomfortable. I have recommended it to 3 friends 1 purchased the EP 550 and loves it.

I find that the teeter EP 550 inversion table has helped me with my bulging disk. It helps stretch my lower back and gives me more flexability and pain relief. The only problem that I have, is that storage is a bit of a problem for myself, but other than that I recommend that anyone that has some form of back pain to get one.

Hang Ups 550 has saved me over 140.00 so far in not having to go to the chiropractor. I have gone to three different ones for my lower back, and none of them helped like the Teeter. One even tried to talk me out of getting an Inversion Table, saying it wasn't good for me. Once again thank you very much.

I suffer from lower back problems and got tired of too many office visits for back adjustments at twenty five bucks a pop with my insurance. I bought this machine, put it together in 20 minutes, got on it and threw the return box away afterward. I do not do the full inversion, I go about 15 degrees less and it really helped my back pain go away. I use it when I get up, when I come home from work and before I go to bed. Four minutes a time is all it takes. That's 12 minutes per day for a pain-free back. Start with 2 minutes the first week then go to 4 minutes. I am 57 years of age.

I bought the inversion table for my boyfriend, he is 26 and already has two herniated discs. By far the most life changing piece of equipment I have purchased. I would recommend this product to anyone. After one month my sciatic pain has almost completely disappeared. I struggled for almost 10yrs with back pain and debated buying one and now wish i would have years ago. I would love to be able to tell the world the benefits of inversion and what changes it has made in my life and the changes it can make in others. Never will I live without one its become my own personal trainer, doctor, and all around fitness equipment. I use it twice a day once after work and right before bed. I herniated my L4-L5 disc two years ago and once a year I would have horrible back pain, be hunched over and could barely walk. My last bout of pain started on a Friday and I went to see the doc. Nothing could be done and I was on 1500MG of Vicoden and just in agony. A chiropractor friend suggested an inversion table and I want on line and bought one in desperation. It arrived the following Friday from when the pain begin and I was still in acute pain. I started using the table right away and by later that evening the immense pressure in my back had begun to subside and I began to walk straighter. I kept using it, 4 times a day for 10 min and by the next evening I was able to go to my friend's wedding which I had canceled on earlier in the week due to the pain I was in. I cannot believe just how much this table reduced my pain, got me walking straight and stretched my back. I would recommend this to anyone suffering from lower back pain.

This is a wonderful product, every penny worth spending. It is easy to assemble, and use. The DVD that was included with the purchase helped give me the confidence knowing that I was maintaining safe standards of use. The product also has a nice appearance once assembled. I use it every day, and will continue to do so at the advice of a Doctor of Osteopathy who treated me for herniated discs in my cervical and thoracic spine. The doctor stated, "Everyone could benefit from using an inversion table daily for the health of their backs." The table is perfect though there is some discomfort to the tops of my feet and ankles. I spoke with customer service who explained that this discomfort generally deminishes with time. I have had the table 3 weeks and my back issues are improving.

I use this almost everyday and my mid-back pain is finally under control without a chiropractor or pain meds. I'm also starting to try different exercises on it. Very easy to set up, and break down. The only "con" is if you have boney ankles, you may want to get the "boots" for this. It can get painful after a few minutes of full inversion.
The ordering process was very easy, and it arrived faster than expected. The box looked a little beat up, but everything inside was perfect. The price was very good, too.

I thought that the inversion table was a quality product. It is well built and was easy to assemble. I wish that Teeter would include a more informative DVD with the table. The DVD that was included did not include any type of structured workout or stretching workout. This information would be most helpfull as I want to use my inversion table for stretching and sit-ups and the included DVD lacked detailed instruction in both of the above areas. Overall it appears to be a great inversion table but without the proper instruction I am unable to use it at it's full potential.

I was worried at first because there was a lot of pressure on my ankles and I didn't want to have to get the gravity boots as well. I then followed the instructions and made the adjustment to my height and now I am very comfortable. The table helps my bulged disk and there were dramatic results within the second week. I hang at 90 degrees. I wish it was easier to adjust for when I want to alternate hanging upside down or otherwise. It's not light but easy to move around and store out of the way. I feel safe when I'm on it. I'm in the Army and worry about not being able to function because of my back problem but the inversion table helps keep me capable of exercising and relieves the pain I do experience. The DVD that came with the table has exercises and stretches and is especially helpful. I particularly do the stretches before I get out of bed in the morning otherwise I have to somehow do a "roll" out. I'm deploying to Afghanistan and I'm trying to figure out if I have the space to squeeze my inversion table with the unit gear and where I will store and use it while I'm there. Maybe I'll convince MWR to put one in the gym.....

I've had the product now for over 4 months. I took my time in posting my review in an attempt to be of better service to those who are considering this product.
It is an outstanding item.
There are a number of aspects of my life that have been improved as a result of using the Teeter Hang-up;
Height improved from 5'8" to 5'10",I suspect weight gain and continued compression of my spine was squeezing me down. My first few days, I started on the 5'6" setting. After a month of use, I had to toggle between the 5'10" and 5'11" setting to properly distribute the load.
I have had moderate to severe lower back pain (above leftside of sacrum) that only direct pressure would eleviate. And as soon as pressure was removed..that sinking feeling of discomfort would return. Additionally, my legs (knees and ankles) were overcompensating for the state of my lower back, talk about discomfort! The first night I hung from this product, things started to happen. As I went from a 45 degree to 60 degree angle, I felt an intense sensation in my problem area (as if my wife were standing on it at my request, to relieve that pain). As the weight of my upper body slowly pulled away from the hips and lower back, I was laughing because the relief was that accute. The nagging back pain I had lived with for the past 5 years is no longer on my radar.
It's been months now. I hang 3-4 times a week.
The product has thus shown itself to be solidly built and remains a smooth and quiet piece of equipment. I have a family friend who is a physical therapist; I mentioned my interest in an inversion table and she said they can be really good for people but...don't get a cheap one. Upon her reviewing my table she was impressed with the build and stated I had evidently purchased a REALLY good one. I agreed.
My product arrived in a timely manner and I was well advised on status of delivery via tracking number.
The package arrived with a big gouge in it's side. So...I took care in opening and inspecting it. All seemed to be in good order. Of course, that's no reflection upon the manufacturer but rather, the shipping outfit.

I use this table daily after aerobic workouts. Great stretch, excellent decompression, natural realignment. At 6'2" and 220 lbs., I needed a heavy duty inversion table. This is the one. Though it is not a "mobile" table--nor is it meant to be--two people can easily move it. I can't think of any improvements.

I've had my table for about a week. [...] set-up was easy. By all means, view the dvd. It was very helpful. I suffer from degenerative disk disease and the only remedy (temporary) for me was to hang from a chinning bar. The table gives me a nice stretch. I just wish I could hang upside down longer than two minutes. The ankle cuffs are lousy. Teeter ought to redesign them or offer foam rollers as an option. I am not overweight and the cuffs are still painful to use for more than a minute. Also, the foot lock pull should be lengthened. It is difficult to engage when you have to bend over at the waist when your back is sore.

Easy to use. Let gravity do the work. There is a short learning curve with much help and guidance through the manual and video. I liked the additional back excercises at the end of the video. Using the table is very relaxing. I do have to put a pillow under my knees to flatten my back when on the table. I'm sway backed and have to do this to get the alignment I need. Thanks,

I have had my inversion table now for 2 to 3 weeks. I purchased it for back problems, based on one of my doctors recommendations. In order to avoid a bigger surgery, I was willing to try anything within reason. In addition to walking, water exercise, and stretching and strengthing exercises it seems to be helping tremendously in getting my lower back more functional and pain free.
