Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

We love our inversion table and use it twice a day! I have back problems and it has really helped me. Ironman certainly doesn't cut corners when it comes to quality. It a sturdy, well made piece of equipment. We did have a problem with the pivot arms seeming to be too wide to set down in the slots, but I was given a link to a video and after pushing the frame it set into place.

There were two screw holes for the foot pads that were not well taped and had to be retaped before the screws could be inserted. These were both in the corner location but since my husband does machine work this was not a real problem. Other than this minor problem the machine is excellent and we are glad we chose this one over the other ones we had considered. This machine has been recomended to a friend by my husband.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

Having found traction helpful at Dr's office, I bought this inversion table to do at my house, at my convenience and as often as I wanted. I am extremely happy. I was warned by others of inversion tables not being comfortable and the ankle/foot hurting where the weight rests while inverted, but that is not so with this table. I am bony and have no discomfort from anything rubbing me anywhere. Very soft, comfortable and cushy. Very sturdy, I have never once felt rocking or swaying like I would tip. You do need space to put the thing however. You can't fold it up and put it away after each use, it needs to stay up. Took about 1 hour to assemble.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

Chiropractor recommended buying one. I just went on a trip and my sciatic nerve was pinched the entire time and I had trouble walking very far. First time on the table....hadn't adjusted it much at that point...something in my back popped and my leg hasn't hurt since. Also have low back pain and stretching the back has lessened the pain in that area and has allowed the back to snap back in place. I wish he had suggested this earlier. Since I am also overweight, I learned that if I add about 4 inches to my height, I can still lean back and invert but don't kill myself when I try to come back up like I did with the correct height. It moves my center of balance to a better position. At the correct height, it put a great deal of pressure on my mid-section to try to come back up by myself. Now, I just pull on the handlebars and swing right back up. I have the table adjusted to about a 60 degree angle. I haven't tried any exercises on it yet but I am getting more comfortable with use.
This is really a God-send. I haven't felt this good in months.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

I am 6ft.6ins. tall and the unit adjusts, so my head is still on the pad. I like the fact that it is heavy, at 250lbs, it gives me a confident feeling when inverted. The ankle supports, hold you in firmly and the soft rubber is comfortable. When folding to store the unit, there are bolts that must be removed in order to remove the bed frame and leg supports. If this step is not done, the unit is bulky and heavy to move. This is my only (con)! [...]

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

PossativesI purchased two of the ironman units, one for each home. The price was reasonable. These units are obviously a high quality product and very durable made to last a life time. They were very easy to assemble and comfortable to use. They fold up easily and are not to bad to move around.NegativesThey both came with the same part that was broken off [...], the plastic knob that you press to set & release the ankle lock.I suggest that you send future units without that knob attached and let us screw that part in.The adjustment strap is a pain to set for different positions. I suggest that you send three straps so that they can be pre set and just be snapped in as needed or one strap with three snap hooks for ease of use. Also, the strap could be marked for 1/2 - 3/4 - or full extension to eliminate the guess work. The ankle pads slide on/off and one time the pads slid while I was in the unit. You need to have a safety pin on each pad post so that the pads cannot slide off while in use.The instruction book did not have a well defined user guide that explained when and how to use the ironman with suggested duration times, expected results and tips to maximise the results. That should be in the book.

I purchased an inversion table 25 years ago and really liked it but I moved into a place that did not have enough room so I sold it. Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

I LOVE my inversion table. I have has it now about 5 weeks. I was recently diagnosed with an extruding disc in my spine causing neve root displacement ( in a nut shell I have back pain and pain and numbness in my right leg ). The inversion table is great.... there are days when my right leg is numb before I get onto the table and after about 10-15 mins of intermittent inversion my right leg is no longer numb. It takes pressure off the spine and gives the back a great stretch!!!!! I recently went on vacation and I MISSED my inversion table. I am an emergency room nurse and there is nothing better after a busy shift than to come home and stretch out the back!!

I received the table yesterday and already can not believe the difference in my back. Oh what a relief! I've been having awful pain with muscle spasms for two weeks now and in only 1 day I'm almost pain free. One of my big concerns was the ankle brackets and they are just great. Very well padded and no pinching or pain. It is very sturdy and I feel very safe while inverted. I highly recommend this product.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

This model is very sturdy, a good value and a worthwhile upgrade over lesser models from the same manufacturer and competitors. The key is the ankle and back padding not found on those.I've used it in bare feet, with just socks (regular and thick), slippers, tennis shoes and even superthick Ugg sheepskin boots - it works for all of these and most importantly if it works for bare feet you know it's comfortable. No need for extra-cost "gravity boots" sold for other, more-expensive tables from that TV-ad company. No need to spend more money - really! That company on TV will charge you almost twice as much, and online-comment users say you need those extra-cost boots because the clamp mechanism is hard on the feet. But I wouldn't recommend spending less on a cheaper model either; the ankle clamp comfort and memory-foam mat really add value and encourage regular use since it's pain-free. This table is quick and easy to use several times a day if you wish, but caution: it's only practical to fold for moving it - don't expect to fold it away after each use, it's too heavy, bulky and clumsy to do. Also recommend using the limiting strap to get used to it; I stayed at 45 degrees for the first few days and worked up to full-vertical over two weeks. Once your body adjusts to shifting your weight and blood circulation, it's comfortable to be fully inverted every time, but don't rush into it - the first couple times I kept it very short because it was quite uncomfortable in my head and neck. Now I hang upside-down like a bat every time and it feels very, very relaxing.I also upgraded the supplied fasteners with Grade 5 bolts/locknuts from the hardware store - the supplied hardware snapped when I tried to remove them to readjust the assembly. They work, once, but are too cheaply made - $4 in new hardware is a good investment. Everything else about the design is strong and well-made; [...].After a month or so, I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for an inversion table. [...]

Was a little intimidated about connecting all the parts (think they should be more explicid) and think you should have more info on the actual usage of this for first time users. Was
pleased with the sturdiness and looks of this

to increase the flexibility of my spine as I am

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

I purchased the XW to help with my degenerative disk disease (L5-S1). I have had numerous cortisone shots to try to reduce my sciatica, with limited success. Now, I use the inversion table once or twice a day for about 8-10 minutes and the improvement is at least as much as from my shots.

Right now I have the table adjusted for about 50 degrees and thst works for me. I hope to increase the angle as time goes on.

The improvement on my back is impressive. Only 10-20 minutes a day is all it takes. Awesome.

Service & Delivery comments:

Shipping from the supplier took longer than expected and the communication was less than what I prefer (they showed it as shipped two weeks before it actually shipped). I ended up calling customer service at Mercantila and the supplier a couple times to determine the status.

Arrived in good shape. There was one broken screw when it was unpacked, but I was able to get that fixed myself.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

This thing is built like a Brick House!!! The construction of this thing is just outstanding!! Extremeley sturdy, very easy to put together. Instructions were very straight forward & I had no trouble whatsoever. I needed a table that would be able to handle my son. He is a 6' 3" 325 lb. star offensive lineman at his high school & he has been having lower back problems. He has had to go to therapy & I asked them if an inversion table would be okay for him & they didn't have a problem with that. I was going to get one anyway because I have had back problems for almost 30 yrs. This thing is amazing!! I spend 6 minutes on it twice a day at about 70 degrees. I feel so much better & my son is raving about it as well. I searched & searched for a heavy duty table that wasn't going to break my bank & this one is it. Anyone who is looking for a great inversion table at a great price LOOK NO FURTHER!!! THIS IS IT!!! The only one small drawback is the strap that controls your angle is a bit of a pain to work with & it's pretty much a guessing game as to where the angle winds up. You have to play with it in order to get it where you want it. I am going to replace it with some chain so it will be easier to gauge your angle. Other than that this is a real winner & I highly recommend this unit.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

I have a L4/L5 buldging disc and sleeping is very difficult. I got to the point where something needed to be done. The inversion table is where I decided to go and I am glad I did.

The Ironman inversion table, supplimented with strengthening excercise and most importantly, stretching, has greatly reduced my pain.

I used to yawn all day long from a lack of deep sleep due to pain. I am definitely getting better sleep thanks in large part to the Ironman table.

Now, the table itself was easy to assemble (I am pretty handy though and may be tougher for some people). The construction is very solid (and heavy, so build it where you want to use it). The adjustable components are easy to manipulate. Also, the table is BIG and flat and allows me to lay stomach down, which I find is more comfortable.

In short, you don't need to spend anything over the cost of the Ironman for a good table. I am totally satisfied with this product.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

Disclaimer: I've never used an inversion table before. This is my first time purchasing, assembling, and using the equipment, therefore not much basis for comparison with other brands.

The Bad:
- Took me more than an hour to assemble by myself. I didn't really hit a snag during the process, so I don't think anyone can get it done in 10 minutes if assembling the first time.

- Some parts are quite heavy, and if not very careful you might need to see a foot surgeon before you can use, especially when fitting the bed to the frame.

- The leg holder is a mystery. I don't have huge feet but I couldn't get my feet through the holders. I think a padded bar would do better.

- The instruction says you can fold it. But somehow it ignores the two big handles screwed to the table. If you want to store it under your bed, you have to either not install those at all or unscrew it each time. There are 2 screws for each handle. It's just not feasible to fold, unless

The Good:
- It feels pretty sturdy (and heavy too).

- No trouble assembling, all tools provided.

- Foam pad very good, lumbar support a plus.

I'm a big guy (6-1/325) so I was mainly concerned about how sturdy it would be for such a relatively low price. It's a very sturdy unit. I replaced the tether strap with a chain to be safe. The memory foam back is first class.

Decent assembly instructions, but virtually nothing on how to safely use it. I figured it out, but user instructions would have helped a lot.

I started at about 20 degrees from horizontal gradually increased the tilt a notch in the chain each week and used it 6 minutes in the morning and 6 at night. I've been using it about a month and it's helped my sciatica a lot.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

i got this table for back pain and severe scoliosis. While it helps a LOT to reduce back pain, don't look for miracle cures--adult idiopathic scoliosis is a permanent disease. That said, it really helps to use this at the end of the day. My one problem w/the table is the ankle "quick" release isn't so quick. I solved the problem, however, by not wearing shoes and when I return to upright position, I slide my foot out of the ankle grip and use my foot to press down on the release valve--otherwise I have to bend over in an awkward position for too long to get the thing to disengage (which kinda defeats the purpose of inverting for back pain). Also the assembly instrucitons were a bit obscure in places. At one point I had to call the manufacturer to make sure I understood correctly since I didn't want to make a hazardous mistake in assembling. Otherwise, all round great product.

The padded backrest is mounted a little short. I am 6' tall, and even when I set the height adjustment to 6'1", my head is still right at the end of the backrest. I can feel the end/edge of the back rest on the back of my head. If you attached the frame a little lower on the backrest, it would move the backrest up, and alleviate this problem. Another complaint is that the table can't be stored flat without partially dismantling it. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the table. The feet restraints are pretty comfortable, and effective, and the unit seems sturdy and well made.

Comments about Ironman Ironman LifeStyle XW Inversion Table:

We researched dozens of tables, traveled around trying them in showrooms, reading reviews. This one is sturdy, comfortable, EASY to set up (our son did it by himself), EASY to use and control, feels MUCH more stable, secure and controllable than the most highly rated one, which we both disliked for numerous reasons. We also feel the price point on this product is fair compared to others of its quality, with features found only on much more expensive tables. This one also feels very safe to use by yourself, without a spotter, which we cannot say for others, including the highest rated one. We leave it out in the room, set up, so we cannot state how compactly it folds up to store. Inversion is great. It makes you feel good, helps your back, face, brain and attitude. Worth the price if you have the room to set up and use the table.

I was very impressed by the heavy duty construction and the assembly was fairly easy following the directions. With a leg length adjustment measured in inches, it was easy to determine where to start and with a little fine tuning have it working perfectly for me. The design of the padding that locks around the ankles is brilliant and allows easy entrance and exit of the table.

Nothing wrong with this purchase as I use it for a few minutes every day!
